This is a total n00b question, but I am moving into an 85 year old home that does not currently have an exhaust fan and I'm trying to avoid costly renovations. Are there exhaust fans that can be mounted on the ceiling and do not require ceiling surgery?

I too have a small, counter-depth fridge with the fridge on top and freezer on bottom (GE 11.6 cuft http://www.homeeverything.com/web/sitefiles/product-16445/GBC12IAX.html). My kitchen is fairly compact (110 sq ft) and I really hate having too much space in a fridge. It encourages me to keep more food than I need. The smaller fridge keeps me shopping for less, more often so the food is fresher and tastier. It is great!

I haven't tried them all so I'm hesitant to vote, however I feel that someone should note that not all companies that produce green cleaners have a sustainable bottom line. While Green Works is effective as any normal cleaning product (I've tried it) and is as natural as it claims to be, in general Clorox is only funneling their sustainable initiatives into this one product line rather than integrating them into all of their practices. That may be a lot to ask of a mega-company like Clorox, but I'd rather support a business that emphasizes sustainability in every aspect of their operation.

This was a fantastic TED talk and I look forward to showing my 8th grade science students. We have really fresh, healthy food in our school cafeteria and our students totally take it for granted. They don't realize how privileged they are to have such fresh, healthy lunches.
