How can you compare wallpaper to paint? Paint is so boring. With just one wallpapered wall you can change the whole feel of a room. You put up a grasscloth and it looks asian or mid century (look at the set of Mad Men.) You put up a wild color damask and you turn the room in to a funky retro boudoir. I don't think it is so expensive if you consider the decoration bang for the buck. You can spend $3000 on a oriental rug and and not get the same bang. Just thoughts.
