I always burn a nice scented candle in the bathroom, especially when I have visitors/guests. The smell doesn't get too strong if the door is half open. I avoid foody scents (cookie, candy..etc.) though, I personally think it's gross in the bathroom. I usually go for a mint/eucalyptus scented ones. They smell fresh and clean. I also like natural scents like herbs, bamboo, grass, fern, or floral scents like lavender, paperwhite, fresh roses. :) For the Bathroom: Candles, Air Fresheners, Sprays or Nothing? Wow, so many people here are worried about germs! I wonder if they mind wearing shoes around the house as well, because that's just bringing tons of germs into a house. I'm from Japan and I cannot stand it (at least in my home). I don't really care if other people do, but I wouldn't keep magazines in my bathroom. They belong in the living room/bedroom, not a bathroom -- the magazine covers get wavy from the moisture and it's sort of gross. I never stay on a toilet seat long enough to read an article, anyway. One of our holiday traditions is attending The Nutcracker ballet performance. Every year we dress up a little bit and go out for dinner at our favourite restaurant then watch The Nutcracker. I love this holiday tradition of ours and will continue having it! another one is to get together and go ice skating on Christmas Eve. I agree that after is quite boring. No personality at all. I just don't understand why they removed those beautiful window moldings and the baseboard. And the heater! Might sound weird but I actually liked the look of the heater there. Wouldn't it be cold without the heater, unless they have a new heating system and don't need it anymore? I like before very much, but I might not recognize it's Monet until someone tells me... I mean, honestly it doesn't look like a good imitation of the original art. I love the mantelpiece. Lovely. But not #8...I wouldn't place artwork above the TV. If there is artwork, we should look at it, not TV. What's wrong with the flat screen TV on the wall anyway? It's not ugly or anything. I think it's much better than the all tangled cable wire hell under the TV stand!
