I bought this for my daughter before she was born (two years ago) and I love, love, love it! The design and layout is perfect, beautiful and well worth the price. You can feel the quality and somehow you can tell it was made with love. Baby Memory Book by Nouveau Design Daily Find |

Buy the Juicing Bible by Pat Crocker, it's loaded with great recipes and descriptions of the health benefits for each. This is important because with juicing there can be too much of a good thing (ie. too much kale reduces thyroid function). Juicer's Dilemma: Help Me Find a Tasty Savory Juice! |

Are we really so spoiled that we can't rub sunscreen on our kids with our hands? Bring a cloth and some water to wipe your hands off and let your kid roll around in the sand and get covered in it, that's part of the fun of going to the beach. Spray-On Sunscreen: Non-Greasy Way to Keep Kids Safe |

This woman lives in my city and I see her selling her wares at all of the local craft markets. She is very sweet and super talented. I have one of her bunting sets hanging in my daughter's room. Handmade Growth Charts, Bunting and Embroidered Art Bo Peep Baby |

This is beautiful. Being from the west coast, however, the parasols above the crib terrify me as we are in a major earthquake zone. Sorry to be a poo-pooer but yikes. Animals & Books & Art, Oh My! Smaller Cooler 2011 Entry #10 |

I get that it's a companion product but the name is too hilarious. I kind of wish my daughter still ate all pureed food just so I had an excuse to get this. Baby Bullet: From The Makers of Magic Bullet |

Not to be a downer but Burt's Bees is owned by Clorox now. They have stated that they aren't changing any of their products and the igredients are still the same but your money is still going to a major chemical company. I use the Burt's stuff I have still and I really like their diaper cream but I probably won't buy their stuff after I use it up simply because I really disagree with Clorox as a company. Using "disposable" plates, for anything other than a picnic, because you don't like the clean-up is pretty lazy. Why not jusy ask someone to help you clean-up after dinner? Is it Bad Hosting to use Paper Plates and Fake Silverware? |

Manduka mats are hands down the best yoga mats on the market. I have gone through so many mats in my ten plus years of yoga and I finally bought a Manduka four years ago and have never looked back. I use it every day for a vigerous Ashtanga practice and it still looks brand new. The Quest for the Best Eco-Friendly Yoga Mat |

I agree that these products are outrageous I have to confess that we have a banana guard and my husband uses it every day. He rides a road bike to work and has a bag that is very flat so it sits tight to his body but his banana would always get squished. The guard actually totally protects it. I know, I feel crazy even defending it but it really has been useful for us. Hopefully the bicycle commute and the eating organic bananas will offset our use of such a silly product. 13 WTF?! When we replaced the kitchen in our house, we uncovered beautiful 100 year old fir floors throughout the house and we love them. We have wooden cabinets and gray concrete countertops but haven't yet decided on a backsplash. It all looks good but I may paint the cabinets white as the two woods and the gray countertop make everything a bit too neutral. You may find the same thing, depending on your taste. Get help. If you are going out with a friend, suggest you meet at your house and go to your destination together so there are an extra set of hands around. All too often caregivers martyr themselves (I do this constantly) to appease their children and end up feeling stressed as a result. Children can always sense anxiety. Me, my husband, our seven month old and our dog love our little 100 year old, 720 sq. ft. house. We have renovated the small interior and removed excess walls to expand/combine important rooms, making the place feel much larger. We also have a large yard that we have set up for summer entertaining. Our only issue is storage (only one closet) but it has taught us to be creative with our space and thoughtful about what we buy.
