I tried it. One tip: Make sure your toaster is cleaned out, or the crumbs from the bottom tray will fall on the element and catch on fire. Lunch Tip from Jamie Oliver: Toaster Cheese Sandwiches |

Where did you get the information that there is no health risk in eating moist grains left at room temperature overnight? No food should stay in the danger zone (40-140 F) for more than 2 hours. Moist cooked grains especially grow bacteria quickly. Oatmeal in Jars: Make a Week of Breakfast in 5 Minutes |

No way would I be wanting to fool around with that "crib" to get my baby out in the event of a fire. Also what happens when your kids are to tall to sleep in a closet? Do paint stores want people to help themselves to paintchips when they have no intention of buying paint? Probably not. Do they recognize that people do and that it's a cost of doing business? Probably so. And if you want to do this but are worried about the morality of it you can buy an entire book of paint chips, in fact nothing in the post says that Sally didn't do just that. You can for sure paint the ceiling. Taping off below the curve will be easiest, but taping on the ceiling itself past the curve will make the ceiling seem higher. How To Brighten Up Deep Red Dining Room? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

Starchy cooked grains like rice and pasta grow bacteria quickly. Eating week old cooked rice is not the best idea. As a professional cook in a healthcare setting we never keep cooked rice longer than 48 hours, some organizations even suggest only 24 hours. If you want to save time and cook your rice in large batches you can freeze it in 7 portions and pull one for your lunch each night for the next day. Washing your face is much tidier in a larger sink, also I find that a large amount of counter space=a large amount of clutter. I prefer my things neatly on shelves or out of sight in drawers/cupboards. Benefits of a Large Bathroom Sink? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

To those who feel it isn't hoarding because it's organized, you have to remember that the horrifyingly disgusting hoarders you see on tv are on tv because they are the worst of the worst; there are different levels. My mother's and sister's "collections" are very neatly piled and sorted into categories. One close friend keeps every scrap of paper that crosses her door, all neatly organized in file cabinets that fill several rooms. Odile's 'Only in New York' House Tour | Apartment Therapy New York |

I loathe to be negative; because art is art and just because it's not my taste doesn't mean it's not valid, but oh my! I would probably go ahead and remove the drawers under the stairs, they are so random. If you want to keep them then paint them the same colour as the wall so they blend in a little. For the kitchen I like the idea of going dark, what colours are in your marble? If there's a black fleck in the marble go black, a blue fleck, blue etc. I also like all white in a kitchen so that's an option as well. Color Suggestions for This Kitchen? Curious's comment makes me think my post might not have been clear. I wasn't suggesting putting an island in the middle of the space where it could block the stove, rather putting some kind of island/countertop/kitchen work cart where the fridge currently is, perpendicular to the wall. I see that a few others have suggested the same thing. My answer was also based on the assumption that you are renting this house and don't mind spending a little money fixing it up (I myself am buying a new sink for my bathroom, I'm planning to stay here for a while and it's to ugly for words right now) however, if you own this house and are going to be renting it out then I agree with travelingrory, gut it and start over because as a renter this kitchen would be a dealbreaker for me. I assume that the original fridge placement was on the far left. If so then yes I think it should be moved back. If you don't want to lose the cupboard space you could consider an under counter bar size fridge, many are large enough for the needs of a couple and you could keep the cupboard above. I'd put an island coming out into the space where the fridge is now for more counter space and leave the window unblocked, that would also provide more storage. You could put open shelving on the wall where the fridge currently is. If you were considering moving the sink so as to have room for a double I think the extra counter space of an island would enable you to install a double sink in it's current location.
