I just had a baby in November right before all the crazy weather started. I thought it'd be irresponsible to take a newborn out in the cold, which meant I got to stay home 5 days in a row. That's all I could handle! The walls were closing in on me!

I can totally relate to your pen story. My parents have the same drawer with dried up old pens...AGGGHHH!!!

We have way too many Coozis ( the thing you put around coke/beer cans to keep them cold) It seems like every festival or event gives them away for free and my husband ALWAYS feels the need to grab a few. We have to get rid of them already....pretty ridiculous.

I get so nervous about regifting because I always wonder what if they want to return it and the sales person makes a comment about how they haven't had it in stock in a very long time...eek.

My family is notorious for giving thoughtless gifts. Its like they go to the store the night before Christmas and buy whatever is left on the shelf. This year we ( the adult kids) decided its better to just pull names out of a hat so we would just focus on that one person instead of 10...made it a lot easier!

As a child we would:

Christmas Eve: Go to Church, Dinner at Home, then open gifts one at a time. Before bed we would pick out a chair/sofa and put our stocking on it and Santa would fill our stockings and place all his unwrapped gifts there

Christmas Day: Sneak into the living room extra early to see what santa left, (go back to bed so we wouldn't get caught), Come back out later and play with the toys all day and lounge around.

As an adult we pretty much do the same thing with our own families but on Christmas night we go to my sisters to have dessert and coffee so all the kids can play together.

Love to keep traditions alive.

Nice home. I would have stuffed the clutter in the closet before the cameras showed up. :-)
The cat sitting on the Womb chair ottoman kills me!! I've been saving up to get that chair for years and to see yours covered in cat hair makes me why lint rollers were invented i guess.

I would be so scared to sit on that stump or for my guests to! What if I didnt tighten it enough and they fell to the ground! Yikes!

Not a fan.

We got one with a black cord at West Elm for like $20. I second the warping it in string That could look pretty cool.

At first glance I thought zippy was a lamb or goat...Iol...great job with the pantry. I fully understand how difficult it is to keep it organize. I think elves live in mine and knock stuff off the shelves for fun.

We have the Macy's Corona sofa as well. We bought it from a guy off craigslist about a year ago. Its held up really well for us. We dont own any pets but we have an 18 month old who loves to jump on furniture.

Upstairs we have our 3 year old IKEA leather sofa. The leather looks a little worn but it has always worn pretty well. Both sofas were under $800 each.

I'm in the same boat with our kitchen. We want to remodel but the options seem endless. It is such an investment I don't want to be hasty pick the wrong counter tops or back splash and then look at it everyday with regret. So much pressure! lol....
