It's funny that I am reading this now, because I too, am in front of my computer 12-14 hours a day writing blogs, doing Smedia, etc.. (I hate to admit that) The other day I commented on Facebook the same fact, and a friend posted a "getting fresh air" article for me to read.. later that morning I went to the pumpkin patch with my daughter's girls scout troop and boy was it great! Love the idea of going to open houses, outdoor malls, the park.. this post really hit home! Thank you! Step Away from the Screen: Finding Inspiration Offline |

Open Shelving isnt for everyone. As everyone has mentioned dust is an issue, as well as how many people have dishes that are matching and beautiful enough to be on display all the time? Neat & Beautiful Open Shelving |

When I used to live in Colorado we had a beautiful hamhock. Now that I live in Florida, this is reminding me how much I miss it! I always show great outdoor furniture ideas on my blog - and these hamhocks need to be added to the inspiration! Thanks Apt. Therapy! I'm with the other reader. That was a huge selling point of our current house was a screened in porch.. I probably would have a catio, if I had the space! :o) The Catio: Custom Patios for Cats The New York Times | Apartment Therapy New York |

I think no matter how large your area, you can decorate a landing strip. The width of the area is important to. Sometimes just a board on the wall, with stickies, place for keys, and a nice picture is enough.. Whatever your space, something can work! I love this concept! I actually have a post on my blog today about inspring outdoor rooms! Especially with the holiday weekend coming up - we naturally think about outdoors, friends/family and entertaining. The best part is, you can stay as casual or formal as you'd like. I think this article is great, because I am a professional home stager, organizer, assoc. architect, and I tell people all the time.. you can do a lot - DIY!! Sure, it's nice to have someone give you the suggestions, and do the work. But just think how much money you would save if you just use the professional for a phone call consultation, or a one time visit to your home. After that, roll up your sleeves, invite some friends over, and do it room by room. You can do it! Thinking Of Hiring A Professional Organizer? | Apartment Therapy San Francisco |

I know they are aimed at children's rooms, but I would use these in maybe a doctor's office, or somwhere you want to break the mood. I like the concept, but think the actual image would be enjoyed by adults more. New Wallpaper and Fabric Designs from PaperBoy | Apartment Therapy San Francisco |

I agree, bookshelves used to be a square box, that you tucked to the side of a room to stuff your box. Now that architectural elements have molded bookshelves, it's wonderful addition to your decor. All of these ideas are great! I also think the best way to stay organized is to have a place for everything. Don't use the excuse your place is too small. You may need to purge the non essentials, then get going on organizing the remaining. I think I saw the same numbers at Home Depot as well! Just the same, we often forget about curb appeal on our home. Numbers, mailboxes and other exterior elements really help! Thanks. Modplexi Modern Home Numbers | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |
