I will be sticking with CS6 for the foreseeable future. My guess is Adobe in a year or two will offer some way to buy/own it again after the huge backlash they will receive.

THX specs are what they are to give you the 'theater' viewing experience. For many people (other than enthusiasts) it is too large and/or too close. While I cringe every time I see a TV above a fireplace; I ultimately mutter "It's your place, do what you want."

Buy what you like and place it where you want. I'll be at my place enjoying the experience while you are at the chiropractor.

Many people will have ANY bulb burn out too soon due to old/faulty wiring.

What is worse than buying an incandescent for $.50? Buying multiple $10 bulbs because they keep burring out prematurely. Even newer homes and neighborhoods (1995+) can have bad wiring. Also, adding a $10 bulb to a fixture from 1970 that flickers is just as bad. Check the connectons and have your voltage tested before buying ANY light bulb, especially if it is more than $.50 each.

There is more to it than just picking the wire gauge. Did you just pick those feet:gauge numbers out of thin air? It would also be nice to see a warning about snake-oil cables.

For the best information available on what to buy and what to avoid hit up Roger Russell's informative and interesting read:

16:9 is here to stay for two reasons:
1. It is approximately the ratio we can see out of our own eyes, it feels natural.
2. 16:9 is a good middle of 21:9 and 4:3

Sawdust: Guess what happens when you try and watch 16:9 content on your new 21:9 screen... black bars. Or, you want to watch The Wizard of Oz (4:3), it will be minuscule on your 21:9 screen. There is no way of getting rid of black bars for all content, unless you stretch the image.

Yes there will always be 'new' sizes and other marketing techniques, but they are only fads or gimmicks that wont catch on in the main stream. (3D, 21:9, 120fps, etc)

Having a TV in the kitchen does not make you overeat, peoples poor self control does that. Have a little common sense and put the cheeseburger down.

I had to cancel my Netflix subscription because my apartments internet is so spotty. I pay $45 a month for speeds slower than DSL when in fact it is 'cable' coming into the building.

I know it says it in the article, but I'd like to reiterate for everyone. The 'nest' above is a generation 1, for only $50 more you can get the latest one. When you're looking at spending $200+ on a thermostat(!) you might as well get the much thinner and feature rich newer model.

I ended up pledging for the amp. The four glowing tubes on top and the ability to hook it up with bluetooth to my iPhone sold me.

At $200 this is a complete pass. Including AirPlay does not make this ~$40 speaker worth 5x's the price. Nice effort, but let's see what's next.

I stopped caring about light bulbs years ago. There is too much thought and technology in them now-a-days. It's a light bulb, not a TV.

I've had the same mobile phone number for 9 years with no problems. I give it out freely when asked by a reputable company and it is on my business card. I have yet to have one 'spam' call or text. I'm not sure if I am lucky or if Range is unlucky.

Now emails on the other hand, that's a horse of a different color!

I applaud two things.

1. Apple finally getting with it. (Although nothing specifically was mentioned, just 'better.')
2. Downton Abbey reference.
