Definitely paint the cabinets white. And I think a nice gray on the wall would be lovely. I actually like the existing color better. The color you chose I think somewhat cheapens the look of the kitchen. But not sure what look you're going for. How about getting some glass cabinet doors to really classy up the room? They always take kitchen cabinets (and kitchens) up a notch! Should I Paint My Dark Kitchen Cabinets? Good Questions |

wow! that is stunning. I'd love to recreate this with a small project I am working on. taking a picture parasailing with my husband this summer, putting it in black & white and framing in black frame with a white mat. So far I'm definitely leaning toward roman shades. somewhat similar to what lindsayae77 suggests in her post & link! no clue what color fabric but I do think it needs to have some gray or white in it so as not to provide TOO much color in that one spot.
