We bought melamine plates to match our other plates. This allowed the kids to clear the table and learn to wash dishes without me worrying about broken plates.

I put the tree up after Thanksgiving simply because I've got a couple of extra days off of work then and it makes the most sense. I take it down right after New years for the same reason. Extra time off means chores.

Where did you get that round (is it marble?) coffee table??

I also had surgery to correct this and the sleep apnea that I had. I had my tonsils and adenoids removed, which, as an adult, was horrible. The recovery was at least a week, but I'm so glad I did it.

I can't remember where, but I remember reading that they didn't want cribs without slats because they were worried about air circulation. (like the whole open top thing didn't help)

I would consider removing some of the doors on the top and painting the walls a golden color. I would focus on a european cafe look with a nice light fixture and a rug.

Mhy middle son feel asleep in laundry baskets, grocery carts and once while laying on a large spool of wire.

My books are the only things I can think of: A guide to Serial Killers, the Poisoner's Handbook, Anne Rice's beauty series.

I also still keep all my kids' teeth. Actually, they are in small bags in my jewelry box and the boys found them a couple of months ago when I forgot about them and asked them to get me something out of my jewelry box. The are 7 & 9 now, so it's not like it was a big mystery.

Oh, and a placenta in the freezer. I had a homebirth with my baby 3 months ago and just haven't done anything with the placenta yet.

I use a tie rack to hold all my scarfs, but since they are nice and colorful, they are also the decoration that is on the outside of my closet door. I just put the tie rack on an over the door holder.
I use two shoe organizers for shoes, but I hung them directly on the wall since I don't have enough door space. For these, I bought the pretty tan colors. I use the clear plastic one in the front closet to hold hats and gloves, etc. This way my boys can get their own stuff.
