My daughter wants a "doctor kit" for christmas. We had a plastic toy one, but it was basically trash, everything fell apart really quickly. This year we're buying her a real doctors tools from amazon (stethoscope, otoscope, reflex hammer), some ace bandages, an eye chart, oral medicine syringes, etc for her. @lynnindc - You really think the Harry Potter room looks scary? By what? The brooms on the wall? My 8 year would love that room. Classic Children's Literature-Inspired Bedrooms |

Personally I like pink, I embrace the pink. I just don't like plastic Barbie pink. Since you asked her, I'd go ahead with the pink. (though personally I like it wood toned and would have just sealed it) Pink Quandaries: What Color to Paint a Toy Mower? |

We have tags made at Petsmart too. I get the small size and then lace them through the kids shoe laces. Travel Tip: Put a Phone Number On Your Kid |

We have the green toys tugboat and my kids love it. It's a nice multipurpose bath toy and it's held up really well. We also have some playmobil people and boats in the tub, but they're from the 123 toddler playmobil sets and not the ones for older kids. I can see all those tiny little hats and swim fins going right down the drain (and then getting stuck). Sad kids and plumbing issues, no thanks! 10 Favorite Toys for the Bath |

I've never liked mini-blinds and I'd never feel comfortable with them in my house after hearing the strangulation stories. We have completely cordless hexagon shades in some rooms and I love them. No cords for me to worry about and they provide some insulation too. Madelyn's Vintage Meets Modern Nursery My Room |

I have a real soft spot for play kitchens and toy food. We probably have more fake food in the house than we have actual food in the pantry. The Plan Toys foods are really nice. They have the best feel to them and have held up the best out of all of the things we have. Broaden Kids' Palates with Play Food |

We have a navy pram from Pottery Barn too. They usually only stock the navy one at Christmas though, the rest of the year they only have a pink one. Holy Grail: Doll Strollers That Aren't Pink |

We had a Boon potty, but we have higher than builders standard sinks in our bathroom, so using it as a step stool didn't work. We loved our bjorn potty chair. Potty Talk: 10 Best Potties |

Wow! It's nice that you bring your two year old to the bathroom with you, I do too. Sometimes (say every 28 days or so), I'd rather not and having something to distract her (yes even if that something involves a screen) is handy. Cutting Edge Tech for Kids: Sifteo Game Cubes |

We have several motion sensor light switches and they are great. And not just in bathrooms. We have one in our foyer so that the light turns on when you open the door. Really handy when you've got your hands full of groceries and kids and the house is dark. A $700 Bathroom Makeover Made For Kids HGTV |

I loved the Liberty of London stuff last year, but I didn't even bother to go to Target for Missoni. I looked at the lookbook online and none of it really appealed to me. I saw those rompers on the sale rack at the store yesterday and yeah they are HUGE. The 6-12 month size would have easily fit my 2 year old. Missoni for Target: The Aftermath Plus Product Reviews! |

Yeah the planetbox is a bit on the heavy side, especially once you add in a full thermos too. But my son's been using his since Kindergarten without any trouble. I like that don't have to worry about any plastic chemical leaching and that it can go anywhere in the dishwasher (top or bottom). Lunch Food Packaging That Is Easy to Open Good Questions |

I second the recommendation for the planetbox. We went through a lot of different lunchboxes before we found that one. It's very easy for a young child to open and close on their own and there are no lids to get lost. Lunch Food Packaging That Is Easy to Open Good Questions |
