I add it to muffins and cupcake batter. I also compost in a bucket for my garden. Cut a hole in the bottom of the biggest, darkest bucket you can find. Place the cut side down about an inch into the ground in a sunny spot. Start dropping in your pulp, plant clippings and leaves. Sprinkle a little water in on hot days. After the rains I even rescue the worms on my sidewalk and place in the bucket. They find their way to the bottom and produce great compost for me. So the bucket doesn't over heat in the summer, I plant a ring of sun loving anuals around it, and take the top off until the fall.

If the place was empty for any length of time before you moved in, it would be a good idea to clean the drains. Pour 1 cup of baking soda in, pour in 1 cup of vinegar and let it fizz. Come back an hour later and rinse with hot water. You can also try pouring in a cup of peroxide (not with the baking soda and vinegar), this will eat up any live stuff in there. If you think its the washer, run an empty load with hot water and a cup of bleach. Clean any gaskets on the dryer with a little bleach added to water and rinse. If it's coming from the cabinets look for zeolite stones. They are sold in most discount stores. They are volcanic rock that absorbes smells very well. After they are spent you place the bag in the sun for a while and they can be used again.
