Hydrogen peroxide cleans the gunk out of my front loading washer quite well. I let it sit and sizzle for while before running the "clean tub" cycle. Also, a teaspoon of citric acid in each cycle really cuts the hard water and softens the clothes.

Looks like my childhood room setup. And, yes, we did do a triple jump of sorts across the room!

I love plastic and glass. I am allergic to metal and also hate the smell, taste, and sound of it.

We used a Tot-Lock on the bottom drawer of our Hemnes and stored the magnetic key in the corner of the top drawer. It worked great! We alsoe used the Tot-Locks on the TV cabinet.

My recently turned 3 year old does recongnize numbers and letters. He loves spelling and sounding out words even if they aren't quite correct and counting things beyond 20. It's stuff they are exposed to every day, so a lot of kids will pick it up. It's great that your son enjoys it and I think it certainly can be encouraged without pushing.

Yes, you most definitely can fake a bigger window and make the bed look centered by extending the drapery as though there were a window there.

The only socks I buy for my babies anymore are the Hanes white ankle socks. (I could only find them at Walmart.) They are the only ones I have found that don't fall off easily.
