After staring at this blank comment box thinking of how to compel whoever’s voting to choose my plea over everyone else’s, allow me a minute or so to explain why this veteran gamer should…nay, *must be chosen to review this system. Having played videogames ever since I was old enough to wrestle away the NES paddle or Duck Hunt gun from the older kids, I have owned most gaming systems since. I have access to the PS3 as well as the Wii in order to compare the three most recent and popular systems on the market side-by-side. I can test multiple peripherals with this system (i.e. digital camera, Ipod, external 3rd party hard drives etc). In addition, I have Microsoft’s HD-DVD drive and could comment at length as to the effectiveness of that device and how it interfaces with this console. My review would encompass all areas of the Elite. I would provide a detailed, in-depth analysis of current software offerings, online functionality, console settings and everything in between while meeting any of the guidelines I am to follow. This console would become the centerpiece of my home theater arrangement, allowing me to comment on its effectiveness from both an audio (all dolby surround modes) and video (Hi-Def, 1080P) perspective. I would also walk potential users through the setup process right out-of-the-box in order to remove any guesswork for those interested in purchasing the system. Furthermore, I would customize all of my settings through the Xbox dashboard and share with users how to get the most out of their consoles from my personal experiences.
