How about something soft and subtle - maybe use a sponge texture so it could be a touch faint and not so in your face. Arc it into the corner too.

Good Questions

I received and bought way too many receiving blankets, and none of them worked to swaddle my babies - maybe for the first week or two, but from those big box stores, they were just not big enough and rectangles don't work!

Anyway, receiving blankets from Swaddle Designs are THE BEST!

mpix.com is great quality, they have may choices in sizes, and flat or folded cards or photo greetings. All their cards come with envelopes.

We've done play-doh and candy for the last couple of years. Play-doh has been a HUGE hit!

Another tip ... if you have a palette full of paint, cover it with saran wrap and it will stay wet. Just press the saran onto the paint a little.

Also reminds me of these ADORABLE tooth fairy pillows I found on Etsy:

Blue, pink, purple, orange, green, custom combination available. I just ordered two for my girls and they are cute as can be, and we aren't far away from needing one of them! Way more reasonable $$ than chasing fireflies!

To end the morning battle of what to where for my daughter (probably started around 3, she is now 5), I put away outfits in each pocket. She can pick what she wants to wear!

Remember to think about what his room will be used for. "Play space" for our daughter is mostly in other parts of the house, so her bedroom is more about sleep, clothing and getting ready in the morning or for bedtime. We have a super comfy chair that we use to read books at night, a bookshelf, and a basket for toys (mostly stuffed animals).

Cool! Reminds me of the Bucket Fillers idea (we have the book, more info at https://www.bucketfillers101.com/home.html ). Thanks for sharing.

We recently painted a nursery green, and love the outcome, but it was harder to pick the right green than I thought! I was trying to match a color in some fabric, and picked out 5 colors that I thought we should try, and got sample pots (small size containers, perfect for a trial square on the wall) from our local Benjamin Moore dealer. None of them were even close, some were hideous! We went to pick a couple more and on a whim I showed the woman at the store what I was trying to match, she VERY quickly pulled out 2 sample chips (way larger than the color cards we were working from) and said how about these? She was dead on right!

So my advice is, if you are trying to match something, take it with you to the paint store and ask them for help! They know color, and they know what will feel warm, bright, shocking, etc.
