ZOMG... the evacuation skirt on their website... maybe I just have a juvenile sense of humour, but I laughed at that skirt even more than I laughed at the pussy willow rainbows shown a couple of days ago on AT.

I'm curious... what is that thing on the ceiling in Teresa's kitchen (#3). Is it some kind of ventilation system?

Aw, that retro pink sink made me feel so very homesick - my mum has one just like it at her place!

PS. I have to agree with RedOrangePink here - "down under" is a little like calling us "the ar*e end of the world" (sorry for the swear - but it's a quote from our former Prime Minister!)

Dustin's comment made me smile =) My folks and I live in different countries (with a 7 hour time difference) so for my mum's birthday last August I bought her a nice swanky new laptop in the hope that we could keep in touch via email. Then come my birthday in September, she tried to re-gift it back to me. I finally managed to convince her to keep it and thankfully she does use it now, but I *wish* I had used Dustin's method for dragging her into the tech age.

For your big white wall, I would choose a large scale picture, mural or wallpaper to complement the lush garden outside your windows. Maybe not something green (as Zusie says, it wouldn't really fit well with the rest of your colour scheme), but definitely something to tie in to the garden.

I would also move the two chairs out of the hallway - it seems like an odd, unsociable place to sit and I can't imagine the chairs would get much use there. A long glass bench or glass coffee table would be better in that space, with perhaps some open photo books on top.

First and foremost I would cover the fireplace with a fireplace screen as the darkness of the firebox contrasts too much with the lightness of the rest of the room. There are some beautiful decorative screens out there, although a solid white screen may work best in this space.

Also, the small areas between the fireplace and the two doorways would be a great spot to put a couple of artfully placed tall indoor plants.

Good luck!

This fantastic store stocks flip clocks... the store is in Australia, but it's worth looking through their products for inspiration anyway - https://www.opusdesign.com.au/index.php?option=com_icommerce&task=product&cat_id=&prod_id=61
