I had incidents with moths. First time I sprayed/wiped everything down with peppermint oil and vinegar and put bay leaves everywhere. That didn't stop everything so I purchased these which got rid of the current outbreak. How Can I Get Rid of My Pantry Moth Infestation? Good Questions |

As someone who as been unemployed for a year now (!!!!) and has had to live on unemployment benefits (sometimes) that equaled $12000 total last year, $500/month in rent and $400/month in student loans....and you learn to only buy necessities and sell what you don't need. Praising people like this is odd to me. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | What If This Was All You Could Buy New For A Year? The Seattle Times |

I recommend checking out some of the smaller, neighborhood Farmer's markets because you'll find prices a little more reasonable. Also, as always, craigslist. I have always liked the fresh flowers at Dominik's. Apartment Therapy Chicago | Good Questions: Affordable Places for Plants and Flowers? |

I hope you didn't rent the place! The landlord should take care of it, I'm sure the professional painters they hire would know of something? I'm sure you've tried a sponge and water. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Good Questions: How to Remove Aluminum Off the Wall? |

I would recommend a month to month lease with a roommate...the rent will be lower, you'll have a bigger place and not a real significant commitment. Or take over someone's sublet. Apartment Therapy Chicago | CHI Good Questions: Interesting Apartment for $600? |

Martha Stewart has some great glass storage containers at Kmart too for those who are in smaller towns. There's some nice sizes for individual soups to take to work etc. You can also find great deals on Mason and Ball jars at grocery stores which are great for soups and liquidy things. Contact the design programs at universities in Milwaukee (university of wisconsin, MATC, Mount Mary, etc) because they would have students who would love to develop their portfolios, will have fresh ideas, and will be inexpensive. Greenwashing is so insane....I work in PR and my boss made me write a "green release" for a hotel opening and it was common things and nothing significant but I had to just write more and more fluff about how it was a repurposed building and they intend to recycle oh and make sure the lights go off when no one is around. Duh! These things happen all the time, it's not "green" persay. Meanwhile, the next day I'm writing about the hair on hide custom benches and custom leather headboards being shipped from overseas...environmentally friendsly? Ha! Obviously the hotel wasn't meeting LEED qualifications so I just felt like a fraud writing about how wonderfully green the hotel is...haha. Apartment Therapy Re-Nest | AT on... Greenwashing |

oops, I mean Aura Cacia essential oils is a commonly found brand, though I do recommend Young Living. It is just sometimes harder to find. Apartment Therapy Re-Nest | Good Question: Green Alternative to Febreze? |

I recommend checking out essential oil websites or vendors because they will teach you proper dilutions of oils that can be used for refreshing fabrics or diffusing to refresh a room. I know that I use diluted tea tree oil and while it maybe smells like the oil for a few hours, all the odor is gone not too long after, you could mix other oils like lavender or rose if you wanted to have a fragrance...if you are looking to disinfect or diffuse the air, Thieves or young living's purification are excellent oils that have been around for hundreds of years and are still commonly used. I diffused thieves when I moved into my apartment to refresh the walls and carpet. Worked like a charm and smells wonderful. Other oils can be found at any co-op or organic market. I think essential oils is a common brand? Apartment Therapy Re-Nest | Good Question: Green Alternative to Febreze? |

If you purchase large water jugs, check with your vendor. My mom has water jugs delivered and she just switched from a cooler that required being plugged in and a monthly fee, to a crock that only cost a one time fee of $50...only downside is the water is room temperature. It is cute. Apartment Therapy The Kitchen | Good Question: Help Me Find a Glass Water Crock |

My question is: how plush and nice are they to barefeet? I have yucky berber in my apartment and would love something more soft and cushy to walk on....I'm assuming the more expensive ones might be more plush? And is it really true you can buy these at Target?!?! Apartment Therapy New York | Look! Installing a New FLOR Area Rug |

I moved in November and needed it to be quick and easy. I couldn't afford movers either, but I went on Craigslist and there was a guy who posted that he can load and unload. I was apprehensive about it (horrorific imaginative thoughts popped in my head) but it was a great experience and took 2 hours! Cost me far less than a professional company and I helped out a few guys who obviously needed the work. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Our Best Moving Tips |
