I didn't realized until many of my friends were asking me for gluten free recipes that a lot of Indian recipes are actually gluten free - especially South Indian. There is a traditional South Indian lentil soup made with tomatoes and tamarind but if you have really fresh tomatoes then you don't have to use the tamarind so tomatoes?
