i love your home. and i don't like gray at all. but in your home, it's perfect. and as your home looks wonderfully like the couple who is lovingly putting it together, kudos. i don't hand them out lightly.... truly, it's magnificent.

absolutely love the purple tile! that's what is so fab about old places! character. well, now we say "character!" back in the day it was probably pretty standard. my grandmother had pink and maroon. would love to have it today! also love the "here comes trouble" pillow! the place will develop more character as it's lived in--for you naysayers who say it looks too professional. live on!

a very nice house straight out of the 1960s/1970's. it looks exactly like my parents' house did back in the day. nothing new, nothing exciting, just another mcm house. the only thing exciting not to be found in a normal mcm house back then is the indian pillow on the couch.

this was one of two cookbooks (it and joy of cooking) i took with me when we moved to iran in 1977. yes, a long time ago. i have read the book from cover to cover more than one time and absolutely love it. recipe for dutch apple bread is divine as is indian chicken. author doris janzen longacre also wrote living more with less. another "keeper" in these times.
