I'm remembering this feeling as I am moving out of my perfect apartment. It took me almost 3 months of dealing with awful shady brokers in Brooklyn and Manhattan before getting lucky and discovering this brand new, lovely, tiny, sunny corner apartment with a view of all of the borough and the Empire State building. After seeing so many awful, drab and scary apartments it was a breath of fresh air. I immediately felt at home.

Of course, the apartment is overpriced, tiny, has an open kitchen with no counter space, small closets and I never have company over because it feels like an elevator when more than three people are inside... but I love waking up to the sun shining through my windows and seeing the city wake up!

However, during the four years that I have been here, my salary has decreased by almost $40K. Money is tight. So, I must move on to something cheaper... and not so great. In fact I just have that "I guess its not so bad" feeling about the new place. It has sun, but no view, more space, but the neighborhood isn't so great... le sigh...I've been visiting this site a lot to try to excite myself about designing it. No such luck so far.
