Ah, we spent our 2011 summer vacation in Glacier National Park. One of the most beautiful places on earth!

Admirable, but a little worried about someone who needs to hang out in their childhood closet to feel normal.

Do it!! I turned a small bedroom into a dressing room using ikea stolmen series. I was also able to fit a funky vintage dresser and a cute little chair in the room. I used shelves on the wall to display purses and hung jewelry on nails. Looks as good as any boutique. Favorite room in the house.

I believe the paint in the bedroom is Behr Leapfrog. It looks a lot more yellow/gold in a well lit room, but the green comes out in our little "cave".

I am so confused by the tastes of some of the commenters here. Why do you all think these places need to be matchy-matchy and look like hotels or designer show houses? I love this place... it is the definition of cool because there are so many unique personal items. Nothing you can get at Pottery Barn. I don't want to see what your house looks like when its styled for pictures, I want to see it the way it is used. This contest is about style and function in small spaces after all.

Paul I think you have great vintage things and that they all work really well together. It's different, personal, unique (and slightly creepy), which makes it, in my opinion, perfect!

Hi all, I just saw that our place is posted. This is so fun to get to share with everyone and hear your feedback!! I will have to pass your layout comments on to the landlord who is an architect. You should see what he has done with the rest of the house (Its a three floor row house and the family that owns it lives on the upper two floors).

Yeah, pretty much everything is vintage, at least the big pieces. I'm kind of a thrift store nut. The dining table was originally a hall table, but when we downsized to be in the city, it was the perfect size for the very small living/dining space.

Pillows comment duly noted! I think they are weird too. They used to be on our couch and they just got cumbersome. I planned to donate them, but they just sort of morphed into a footstool. At least you know you are seeing the apartment exactly as we use it.

Thanks again for all the thumbs ups and feedback!

Lovely! I would normally hate those chairs in the living room, but you've made them work. Great job.

I like this one because it gets its coolness from your awesome mish-mash of belongings and isn't too "designy"! I would feel really comfortable living here. Great job.

I have used rice on tow different occasions to dry out my cell phone and it worked like a charm. Here's my trick:

-Turn the phone off
-Fill a large gym sock about 1/3 to 1/2 full of rice
-Heat it up for 20-30 seconds in the microwave
-Take the sock out of the microwave and put the cell phone inside the sock with the rice
-Tie a knot at the end of the sock
-Leave it overnight
-In the morning your cell phone will be good as new!

The trick is the heat. When hot, the rice will suck the water out of the phone.
