Could you create a little reading area with a lamp and cozy chair.

Man. That's a huge room. Love the art on the walls. Would love a full pic of ribbon chandelier.

Haven't read the other comments yet and this may sound crazy... but hedgehogs. I've noticed them here and there in the past couple of weeks just like I saw owls and peacocks before they started exploding all over the place. Maybe in kid's decor?

I would at least paint the short wall (see first small picture). I think it should be the same color as the ceiling b/c it really cuts the flow off having it contrast so much.

For the most part, I love buying gifts for people especially when I know it's that perfect something for someone. I love the craziness and the crowded stores! The only part that stresses me is buying for people I don't know well like my daughter's teachers. This year, I am going to try to have it all finished before Advent starts so that I can enjoy the season more. I think it will help me to have an actual stopping point so that I don't keep adding little things to gifts that should already be finished.

Ugh. What I'm sick of is the comments on AT talking about how boring the Keep Calm posters are. Seems like 1/2 of the comment threads I read have some reference to this. I am personally indifferent but want to claw my eyes out every time I read about them. :) While I have seen the posters in a local Michaels and on several AT tours, I have never actually seen one in someone's house in "real life." It's just funny to me how strongly A LOT of people seem to feel about those things.

Would love to know more about the bathroom artwork above toilet. And what's the green thing on the door in the pic w/ the man (pic #21)?

This is the first tour in FOREVER that I have just wanted to move in, right now and not change a thing. Awesome.

RNTRAVELGNOME, Your post reminded me of when my husband and I moved to High Point in 1997. We were young and eager to update our new apt with furniture from the Furniture Capital of the World. We were so clueless and shocked to see that most of the stuff cost more than we made in many, many months. We ended up buying our living room furniture from Aaron Rents. Looking back, it's so funny how naive we were and how we must've looked going to some of those showrooms...

You should also include the swing Max made his daughter... that was just as cool and inexpensive, too.

Very cozy and vibrant at the same time. I like the floral kitchen curtains. Can you tell me where to find them? I like how you put artwork in the area between the two windows there.

I love modpodge but find it gets sticky (even something that's been dry for months) in high humidity (I live in the south) and sometimes paper gets stuck to whatever I've modpodged. Any ideas for avoiding that?

Instead of a rug, how about some pillows in a color that pops. Not sure what color though, but that could tie stuff together.
