This is one of the top reasons I went vegan. So much land is wasted on producing food for so few people in comparison to if the land was used for growing crops.

My refrigerators always look like a war between roommates... which I always lose. My stuff in piled neatly near the sides of unused food explosions. I only cook for one, so I don't have much extra food for more than a day or two, aside from my specialty items. I'm usually piling up all my tofu, daiya away from any leaky roommate food.

I'm moving in with my boyfriend in October, so I'm interested to see how that will work out considering we love to cook meals together. It will probably be much cleaner.

I just went vegan and the food transition hasn't been hard at all. Once I started University and moved out I ate meat less, then I dabbled in vegetarianism on and off for two years, then I recently started dating a vegan and started reading up more on veganism and decided, because of my environmental ethics, that it was for me.

The hard part about it is the way my family and friends have reacted. Mostly with unfair judgments and jokes. My mom was just starting to get used to the idea of me being a vegetarian when I decided to eschew all animal products. It's hard to have "Cheese Fest" happen in the student lounge and have everyone proclaim to me how great the cheese is and how it's too bad I can't have any.

I found the giant rack of cookie cutters at Bulk Barn recently. They seem to have cookie cutters in nearly every shape (and the perfect prices for my budget). I settled on a nice skull and crossbones, but I'll be back for more!

I still have all the magazines I've ever bought or had a subscription to. I just can't throw them away. It's the only thing I horde. It just makes me happy to flip through an old issue of YM when life seems to be going too fast... and I hate fashion these days.

I've got YM, CosmoGirl, TeenVogue, Seventeen, ElleGirl... other random short lived magazines. I read a lot when I was young. Magazines, books, whatever I could get my mitts on.
