I just moved from a prewar and miss the picture rails. Gracious Home on W. 67th was very helpful as I had a couple framed vintage posters that were very heavy -- although those were the only two items that ended up anchored to the wall and not the rail. I had wanted to hang them from two hooks (one for each corner) and a chain. This is the method employed in many old museums and homes, here and abroad. For the weight I needed to support I couldn't attach a large enough hook to the frame. Gracious Home had a good selection of chains.

All-Clad has a huge warehouse sale twice a year in Canonsburg PA, where they are manufactured. Prices are fabulous for the basic pieces - I recall 75% off on some items. I haven't been to the sale, but my parents retired there (don't ask) and have happily served as my personal shoppers and hand-delivered my purchases to me in NYC. Add a visit to Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater and the singing Perry Como statue and you have yourself a weekend.

I'm trying to avoid getting these bags altogether, but need them for trash (perfect size for small bin). Has anyone used any of the BioBags? I'm considering buying the grocery bag size and bringing my own bags to the store (this folding tip would be perfect for that) and also use them for trash. As I would have to place a fairly large order, my concern is that bags made from corn (no matter how far removed from its natural state) will attract pests.
