Classic with a touch of Boho. Elegance.
Not at all surprising. But really enjoyed both sites, so much fun :)

I am moving (back) to a smaller place after living in a big three bedroom house for three years :( I am so shocked and numb, really don't know how am I gonna pull this off. I have lived in studios before but it was just me or with my hubby. Now we have kids and moving to a two bedroom apartment with little to no built storage seems like a nightmare.
The point I am taking from this article is the same as many others..that I won't be able to entertain or sit all my friends at once. Sigh
And there is no entrance hallway either :(
On a bright note..since we are on ground floor we do have a backyard so I would still be able to have my kids birthday parties there YAY. And well are saving some much needed bucks each month by downsizing.
Can't afford to pay $1700 per month in rent, it's absurd.

I love your shoes too, and all that artwork on the walls. I am unable to see the house though, I do think the artwork is so overpowering. Not a bad thing at all.

Thanks for sharing this beautiful story. I have always loved AP's logo, because it is so organic and orange..my favourite elements in any art/design work.

Love this stool. Bought it two years back and painted it bright orange. Has been a permanent fixture in my kitchen since then, as my son stands on it to help/watch as I cook.

oh this post made my day :) I lived in Lahore for 5 years (went to the arts college there, fell in love..with art, food, chai and my man). Like every Pakistani girl we make chai everyday. Mostly we only add green cardomom to milk, along with loose black tea and sugar and this enough for everyday chai. Your recipe is perfect.
A similar mixture of these spices for spice chai is available at T2 here in Melbourne.

I am doing my kitchen at the moment and my living is next on my list. I am itching to change the prints and artworks on the walls. Since I am a tenant , I can only limit myself to changing rugs, accessories etc. Wish I could paint the walls :(

I live in Melbourne and furniture is very expensive down here. My husband tends to be an Ikea snob so last year he bought a queen bed for us from a high end furniture shop. Needless to say the bed already needs repainting :( Ikea is also quite expensive here, specially their high end design lines. I lived in a studio apartment in Dubai and my whole place was furnished with secondhand furniture and Ikea, and it was beautiful. Flea markets in Melbourne are filled with the most ugly furniture I have ever seen. So Ikea is my only hope.

too much texture, too dark for me. Love the dinning table, chandelier and the sofa. Bedroom looks sad to me.
