Depending on the size, I would add some cute vintage artwork or vintage mirror. Maybe a cute bench or stool. Pretty shower curtain and decorative towels will make a huge difference. You could even use a vintage magazine holder for the towels. Check craigslist and flea markets too. A can of spray paint will unify the objects and make them more cohesive. I've been doing this for years. I have a large bathroom, but a clawfoot tub and a free standing sink. I have two low profile bookcases side by side, and have large baskets in each that are filled with towels. Very spa like. Also, use the top for lamps and vintage perfume bottles. It's very cozy. I live in a downtown highrise, and a white noise machine is a must. I can handle traffic noise and sirens, but the bar downstairs at 200am will drive you nuts. It has saved my sanity. Do White Noise Machines Work? |
