I am ALL for fun project & salvaging and creating fun pieces. BUT this is not a piece that should have been re-done...on oh. This is a Danish teak dresser that just needed a light sanding & some teak oil. Not a cheap veneer dresser. I own a vintage modern furniture store & this makes me pout. This is most likely a designer piece...Peter Hvidt or something, I just cannot put my finger on it. But I guess at the end of the day this is their piece & they can do what they will ;)

I would love to know where the curtains are from because currently I have that exact fabric sitting in a pile waiting to be sewn into curtains!

I got my fabric from www.babybedding.com ... it was $10 a yard

I own a MCM store out in Phoenix AZ and we do some consignment for people. We also are always buying and will typically pay more than you could get on CL. You could look to see if there are any similar stores in your area that offer consignment and or would buy your pieces as well. You will probably get more than you would think and you won't have to deal with shipping. Hope that helps ! :)

I have a vintage furniture store and people are always coming in and trying to find the perfect piece for below their new flat screen. I very often suggest low boy dressers, and very often they leave happy campers.

I think furniture usage is only limited to the owners imagination and guts to try something different... who says you can't have old speakers as your coffee table? Or a drafting table as your kitchen island?

I love it :)

I was thinking about this yesterday...When I was cleaning I was treating as exercise, through out my whole day actually. I've been looking crazy and doing it since I was in high school !

Instead of "going to the gym" for 40 mins a day or whatever, just incorporate the same movements in your daily routine.

For example : When brushing your teeth, do squats. When putting away laundry do lunges. Try taking two steps up the stairs at a time instead of one. The whole time while dusting, keep your abs flexed etc. etc.

My husband thinks I looks hilarious doing all this (because I do!) But oh well, it keeps me in shape and I have created great habits :)

What a great way to add some color to your backyard year-round ...

Imagine a trio of different sized white pots, with white flowers growing up three different colored ones...I think that would look so modern and crisp! I love it :)

I think this is a FABULOUS idea...how fun to out some items you don't want out in the morning then go bop around town hoping to find treasure! I just don't see such a large in land city like Phoenix where I live to catch on a quickly as say San Fran or NY...but I can keep my fingers crossed ;)
