When I was a kid my family lived in Japan in the late 1960's.

My dad's squadron would frequently stop in Taiwan when returning from Vietnam. My dad would buy vinyl albums there for very cheap. Since the quality of the vinyl was rather poor the first thing he would do is to record them onto tape on his reel-to-reel tape deck.

Since he had dozens of vinyl records he no longer had a need for he did exactly the same thing - made a room divider to separate our dining room from the living room.

The really cool thing about this was that the vinyl of these cheap pirated albums from Taiwan were either transparent orange or green in color. The room divider was actually very 60's!!
