Intelligent, sophisticated design. This took some thought! While I admire the modern posts with white walls, it is a much easier look to achieve than this. Color Inspiration: Chocolate Brown With Jewel Tones | Apartment Therapy San Francisco |

You have a lot of extra space. I would purchase rolling metal/wire shelving available at Home Depot or Lowes. Then inexpensive see through shoe boxes (.99 cents at Walmart) that you could stack by color, style etc. Organized clean and portable. Total cost would be about 100.00 Source for Super Size Shoe Rack? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy New York |

Pardon my ignorance but what is a ceiling track? I hate exposed cords, so other than having the ceiling opened up and an electrician re wiring I have not found a solution for this treatment in an existing bedroom. Inspiration: Hanging Lamps at the Bedside | Apartment Therapy San Francisco |

I love the artwork from the website. It looks like they are very busy with thier art but not as invested in thier home. Decorating and being a painter are two seperate skills. Add This To Your Blog Roll: StyleSectionLA | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

It seems like a "happy" place. I would add some "wow" black & white mod wallpaper or one with one of your colors to the dining room wall to bring some of your design together. You might consider mirroring the wall to open up the room. I would also paint the railing going up the stairs red to take your eye upstairs and carry on what you have started. Laurel it is obvious that you are very creative I would suggest that you edit/remove some elements from your interior design. You may be more comfortable with clutter around you, but I find it distracting and would opt for more closed shelving to clean up the clutter. It is easier to keep small spaces tidy too.
