Your big mirror and goldfish piece rock. I personally hate red - so to me it feels overpowering in this space.

But I like how each area has a differnt 'vibe': to me, the living area says modern, the bed area kind of vintage, and the dining area glamorous.

What was the point of picture #4? A chair and shelf? You could have used that picture to show us the kitchen or bathroom. And the bedroom picture is a waste ... another chair and a footboard.

On a side note, I find it interesting that at least 8 of the comments are from commenters who have only been AT "members" for a day or two.

That teeeeny tiny glimps of the bedroom is GORGEOUS!!! The white floors, white bed, beeeeautiful black dresser, tapestry, the whimsical white candle latern cage *sigh* .... House Tour!!!

urbancricket: Score on that headboard! So cool! I think a pair of sconces would be pretty on either side of the center of the headboard.

I would suggest something a little abstract for an art piece above the center on the headboard - as the lines of the headboard itself are very defined. Also, I would be sure to include the gray/blue (?) color of the bedding in this piece to bring it up between your (stunning!) gold window treatments.

Very very nice. You can totally tell you didn't rush - each piece has a purpose and it all flows together wonderfully! It seems that you have perfectly incorporated both of your styles. It's very balanced -Excellent job!

I'm using a standard 2-drawer file cabinet as a nightstand right now. Mostly because I live with a roommate and I have no other place for it - but it works well enough.

I spray painted it but it got scuffed in the move, and the top is a little dented, so I was thinking about looking for a new one. Hopefully one with 3 drawers so I can use the top one as an actual drawer. There's plenty of surface space for a lamp, small box of tissue, a couple of drinking glasses, pill bottles, tv/dvd remotes, my phone, and a box I keep misc. stuff in like extra buttons, cough drops, nail polish remover, etc.

I LOVE the Helmer (thanks for posting about it!) but I still need spaces for files and papers :(

Every room but the bedroom heeds the advice about not buying furniture sets that match. I definitely agree with the advice - I don't like the showroom look at all.
