Holy smokes... that is ridiculous! The freezer does not kill bacteria, it puts into dormancy, washing gets rid of bacteria!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!! We have been remodeling our old house for a little over a year and when we finished the kitchen the the last touch was a beautiful $200 pendant with a drum shade! Which while helping me install my husband loving and very accidentally wiped black chalkboard paint across the fabric shade!!! We cleaned it the best we could and turned the bad side toward the wall, but I need to recover the shade.

applebomb, The grey bedding in #3 is IKEA! I have it on my bed now. I just wish I knew where that floral was from in the same pic.

I love the quilt in #6 any clues?

I have a solid grey Ikea duvet that is the exact same color... if that helps at all.

This is the flatware we registered for when we got married 4 years ago... It is great! Modern, comfortable and really elegant looking. It also is fairly inexpensive.

I LOVE glass grapes! I have a small collection myself. I did once happen upon a very ornate chandelier made of them at the antique store near my house. I liked it and all of it's kitschy glory...but my husband was appalled that I had even given it a second look... so he would not let me get it hahaha. I still regret not getting it anyway.

Also... I put the tile myself ... you cut it with a utility knife, AND it lasts forever! not like the peel and stick which wear out over time.

oh my gosh... we are in the process of renovating our entire house and I have tried everything!

I hate the tape...usually WAY more issues than it is worth... In my case if it does not bleed... it peels off the trim paint and then I have to fix that.

The sponge that you wipe along the edges is better but, if you are not fast enough when you roll the walls there is a bead of paint all along the outer edge that dries. So when you are done you have a uniform 3-d line 3 inches from every border. arg.

I also purchased an edging roller at home depot that is better... it think the brand is "because woman know" and it works really well, but the supplies for it are pretty pricey.

I have finally settled on the brush method. It is just cheaper and is less hassle.

Cutting In: What's Your Preference?

I always try to run things past the husband before I do things... but sometimes you just have to paint a room while they are at work...it is the only way to convince them. It's only paint.

When I was a teenager my mom would NEVER let me paint my room. So every time they went on vacation and left me home I wouldn't have a party, I just painted my room! hahahaha
