Yes people did live without A/C but there was less humidity since there was less irrigation. Farmers just relied on the weather most of the time. Now with all the irrigation humidity has become such an evil. I work outside in the midwest and I was dripping sweat by 9:30 this morning, I have already had heat exhaustion this year, so yes I love A/C. On, Off or In Between? Air Conditioning |

ok I have washed cheap reusable ones that you buy for like a buck at the store or get free, usually made from recycled plastics and that sort of lose their strength and rigidness. How are you washing them to keep them from not losing all of that? For now I hang them upside down on the clothes line and hose them off and let the sun sanitize them. I also agree with donating clothes to other places other than the Salvation Army and Goodwill. I have always donated my clothes and odd sorts to our crisis center and to a homeless shelter. That way my items are probably going to get used right away and those people won't have to pay for the items The True Price of Cheap Clothes Slate |

Rude people in general. If you run into someone please say "sorry." I had a bruise for someone running into me with her cart and she acted like I wasn't there, I knocked over a display! What's Your Grocery Store Pet Peeve? Reader Survey |

This looks far safer than my little hideout that I created which was the top shelf of a closet that I would climb using a chair to get to the rail and swing myself up to the shelf, I would sleep up there too, my parents actually couldn't find me one morning! Through the Wardrobe: Real-Life Narnia |

OMG those match my stuff perfectly! I bought sheets from target's Dwell line, they were green and yellow and brown polka dots. My mom made a quilt with those colors plus lots of orange (cause I was obsessed with orange and elephants). I redid our glider in the same sage green as the sheets, Unfortunately I bought all this stuff/made 3 years ago. We finally bought a new sectional from Ashley, knowing it would probably need replacing after awhile but with one clumsy child and one about to potty train we really didn't want to ruin anything nicer. We also bought washable mats that you stick under or over sheets for accidents and put them in between the zippered sofa cover and the cushion.
