One just went up a couple days ago down the street from me! It's so cute. I want to put some of my underused books in.

-Rock n Play sleeper. We used this next to our bed rather than a cosleeper in our tiny apartment. We also use it as a place for her to sit in our living room during the day, and as a travel "crib." The incline is helpful for babies who have reflux or otherwise dislike sleeping on a flat surface.

-Boppy. While I actually didn't like this for nursing that much, it's great as a way to prop the baby up so they learn to sit, and also for tummy time.

-Those little cheapie stick-on LED click-on lights. I put one of these above her changing table for just the right amount of light for nighttime changes without waking her up all the way.

-Dimmer switch. Same concept as above...being able to vary the amount of light is super helpful. For $10, it's the best thing we did in the nursery!

If it really bothers you to personally purchase them, I say get her a gift card to Target or something. Heck, maybe even throw in a donation in her name to some landfill-offsetting charity...

Um...sorry I'm not following. There's a bed on a floor, and a table, and a chair, and a cool painting on the wall. Sort of like every single college dude's apartment I've ever seen. I guess I don't "get it."

I tend to hate going to estate sales. Maybe it's just in my area, but estate sales tend to be staffed by family members who are emotionally attached to the deceased's items, thus attaching some unreasonably high monetary value to those things which can normally be described as nothing but junk. Oh, this 10 year old teal leather sofa? $500. These awful dishes? $50 for the set. I really haven't been able to find anything worthwhile at an estate sale before...I avoid them now.

I got the most beautiful 60s era bedroom set -- dresser with mirror, two chests, and headboard with built in nightstands -- for $80. All wood with real wood veneer. So nice.

OMG Just make one then. Sheesh. Go to Home Depot, buy a board, buy four spindle legs. Buy some wood stain and varnish. Voila.

Do they MAKE a good one? We had one in a condo we rented and we had to dry everything for like 2 1/2 hours for it to get dry, and our clothes always came out smelling very strange.
