I have seen surge protectors like this in China and am unsure why no one offers this in the US?

This place is amazing! I don't even like green and I love the green accents as well.

jmoeschler,

I think the vanity/sink/faucet look are from Ikea. However, I browsed their website and it seems that they no longer sell that faucet.

I used digmypics.com to scan about 200 photos. It was $60, including USPS return shipping. The pictures turned out pretty good but it took them 15 business days to do the job. If you have thousands of pics you want to scan, and you have the time, I would suggest you buy a scanner instead since you can get a good one for less than $100.

I also have an HDMI cable from Monoprice and can vouch for them.

I know other countries have power strips where there are individual on/off buttons for each outlet on the power strip.

However, I have yet to find one of these in the US.

jeffnyc,

If you set up the tank correctly, you should never have dead yellowing plants.

However, if you want to go for the lush look that is seen in most aquariums inspired by Takashi Amano, you will need a source of CO2 going into your tank. Some people make inexpensive DIY CO2 by using an old 2L soda bottle and some yeast. To get more stable CO2, you need a CO2 tank you can get from any online brewery, as well as a regulator for it, and a way to diffuse it into the tank.

Depending on the plants you choose, you may or may not need to add fertilizers (dry or liquid) to the tank on a regular basis to get the best growth. You also need to do regular water changes. It is actually a lot more work than you would initially think but the end result may be a beautiful tank to look at.

I would recommend visiting some websites and learning as much as possible so you can do it right the first time before starting. This will save you a lot of headache in the long run. I didn't do this and have been dealing with annoying algae problems forever now =(

www.plantedtank.net is one site where you can read some good advice and also see other people's tanks in the forums.

I've been using this the Trendy Pet feeder for 2 years and it doesn't have any scratches on it. I have it in black, with 3 bowls. I use the middle bowl for water and the 2 side bowls for food.

My dogs seem to like eating from it because they can eat standing up without having to strain their necks and I also like the looks of the feeder itself.

Thanks laure! I also use mine like DWF, with the open end away from me, and it has never slid away from me.

swanroad, have you seen the Grundtal toilet roll stand? It holds 3-4 rolls vertically.

What toilet paper holder is pictured above? It is not Ikea's Grundtal(which I do own, and have never had the roll fly off and roll away from me).

I haven't tried the Allergy Buyer's Club but I have ordered from Achoo Allergy and found them to be a great resource for allergy sufferers. Their website is well put together and other customers submit reviews on the products.

Aesthetically that actually looks kind of cool! Much better than the crap Microsoft has been designing lately. Hopefully they have changed the scroll wheel so that it clicks and has feedback, instead of the smooth scroll wheel that they have been using for a couple of years.

I was going to buy the Method mop recently until I read all the reviews on Amazon that talked about the same 2 problems as sunspot42 and snoopy - basically that the mophead keeps flipping over, and that the handle breaks easily.

Thanks for the tip gingerblue! I think I will buy some microfiber cloths and attach them to my old Swiffer as well to and give that a try.

I'm with littlemouse.

Also, I've recently quit using 3M Scotch-Brite's disposable Toilet Scrubbers because they seem so wasteful. I've switched to using Ikea's Viren toilet brush (99 cents each and they actually look pretty cute and come in multiple colors even though only white seems to be on the website) and Method's Lil' Bowl Blu toilet cleanser. It smells great and is made with lactic acid instead of harsh cleansers like bleach so it is safer for the environment and the ocean.

Hi Jess2nola,

To confirm what dmancini said, I have their Hugo sofa in dark charcoal, and while it looks okay, the fabric on the sofa cushions bunched up within a few months at most. Unfortunately, the seat cushions aren't removable so I can't flip them over or even replace them.

I probably won't buy anymore sofas from them but I'd consider buying their Milo Storage Cocktail Table and also their Nest Chest in walnut which I've seen in person.

Jaclyn,

It looks similar to a KRDB design. Check out their homepage, and also their homes at Agave in Austin.

I had a friend buy the Frey clock for me because he lives in Dallas, TX where they have an EQ3 store. I was pretty disappointed once I received the clock because it does NOT look like the picture. The metal is a very light color, not dark/gunmetal like the picture. Also, the hands of the clock are actually more like a rust orange instead of the bright orange that is shown =\

I've been in the Houston, TX BoConcept. I'd say they are overpriced for the quality of furniture they provide. I saw some things that I liked. But on closer inspection, a lot of the veneer on their products is comparable to IKEA quality, and in some cases, even worse than IKEA quality, yet they charge more than 2-3x the price.
