How about actual art lessons? Monart or there may be other kid-friendly courses in the area through the city or an art institute. Or there may be an art teacher through the school who would be willing to give further instruction. Most kids (at most) get an hour of instruction a week in art through the public schools.

We (2 adults and 3 kids) live in an old queen anne that is about 2400 sq. ft. I love the space and the ability to host large parties without feeling crowded.

Sweet! My husband drastically remodeled an antique iron crib for our son. It involved sand blasting off old paint, adding more bars, and powder-coating! We love it... and it's such a precious gift!
