I hated Go Ask Alice. That book still depresses me to this day. Love the list though. I would add Island of the Blue Dolphins, The Giver, and Ender's Game.

Okay, here is how I do it. Fill one sink with warm soapy water and dump all of your dishes into it. (Minus greasy pans.) Get a rag soapy and scrub all of the dishes and place them in the other side of the sink (which should be empty and clean.) When you are done with the washing...rinse all of the dishes.

Do your dishes after every meal. It is sooo hard to do that sometimes. But it beats getting overwhelmed with a stack of dishes.
