I can be a shy person myself, but the thrill of a good deal keeps me haggling. I always haggle at our huge local consignment sales. I walked away from one lady who wouldn't go lower than $60 for used clothes. I could tell my low-ball offers offended her. Oh well. At least I didn't "ruin her family's livelihood" like I would have in another country!

I scoured online, but everything was out of my price range. Then I stumbled on my local sheep and wool festival. It only happens once a year, but there was so much seleciton. I got a high quality pelt for a faction of the price. The farmers gave me great advice on how to care for it as well. It's worth waiting for!

This article caused me to think about how I use the things I own. I won't be chucking anything, since I have minimal furniture already. But I will be carefully scrutinizing anything new that comes in the house. Thanks for the ideas!

It was contrasting the American flag next to some sweaty sumo wrestler butt-cheeks that raised my eyebrows. Not exactly my style, but the Novogratzs are know to push the envelope!

I found it uncomfortable to sit upright and nurse in a rocker. I much preferred to lounge on a comfy chair, sofa, or spare bed. There are so many good nursing positions. I feel like a rocker limits what I can do.

I'm 7 and 1/2 months pregnant. I stayed home from work yesterday to pain my kitchen. I didn't stop until 1 AM. Sheer craziness (and hormones) is what kept me going.

I lived in a house that had no front yard. The road noise from the street gave me many sleepless nights. No thank you!

We bought our condo because it was the nicest thing we could afford at the time. Now we really see the benefit of living small. There are just some days when we long for a yard.

My husband and I bought a mattress from the Organic Mattress Store in PA. It is located one state away, but I'm so glad we made the trip. It did make a difference for us to go test them out. We eneded up buying a different mattress than we planned.

I really enjoy the latex mattress we have. We do make sure to rotate it each season. We used this tip, which was very helpful. http://www.marthastewart.com/good-things/mattress-rotation-reminder?backto=true&backtourl=/photogallery/25-bedroom-organizers

My hubby and I got Emeril Lagassi's cookware set from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. We're not actually big fans of Emeril. But the pans are the cheapest All Clad pans we could get. We really like them. We also bought an iron skillet, dutch overn, and stock pot and we're all set.

Wow. I'm not brave enough to DIY my own plumbing. I tried to stop my bathroom faucet from leaking and dismanted it to replace the rubber washer. I only made it worse. =(

My husband is very decided in what he likes and does not like. I was not expecting that when we got married. Right now our condo has bare walls because we can't agree about window coverings or decorations. Though--Victory!--we have a wall color.

As a Siberian dwarf hamster owner, these little guys are incredibly cute. But like any hamster, they are messy, will poo on everything in the cage, and are master Houdini's. You might end up duct taping all the exits just to keep the critter in the cage!
