beautiful, but in the last photo, the white paint makes the credenza look like the rest of it is wood veneer... you know what i'm saying? it probably doesn't look like that irl, though.

isn't that sort of like saying, "i'm a big fan of such-and-such as an author; i've even read one of his books"? i was pretty much under the impression that you can't try a macaron unless you wait in line, or show up first thing in the morning.

sorry, kinda off-tangent. the apartment is nice, but herme looks pretty darn bored.

got mine on craigslist for super cheap. don't know how old they are, but i've had them for a couple years and they're still very sturdy. they're not super comfortable on their own (i bought cushions for them), but most dining chairs aren't.

enjoyed reading the descriptions as much as i enjoyed browsing the photos. very informative, funny, and well-written!

i used to put up holiday decorations day after thanksgiving, but ever since i moved across the country (without my decorations) and got a cat (whom i would not trust with things like tinsel or ornaments), i haven't really done much of anything. oh well.

2.5/3 isn't bad at all. i would give it the same rating myself. not because of the ads, which i agree are to be expected (what popular blog doesn't have ads?), but because there are so many bizarre spelling errors, frequent repeat posts, and occasional lapses in judgment and/or sensitivity on the part of the bloggers. as an editor, it's things like this which make me gnash my teeth in frustration, because all it would really take is one competent person to minimize these mistakes, yet they go by unfixed. (yes, i realize i must come across as one of the "neurotic clowns" mentioned by blandwagon.)

the 2.5, on the other hand, is just for the sheer amount of awesome content. so far, i haven't seen another home design blog which comes close. keep up the good work!
