I clicked on this title because I thought it would be about flipping houses. Oddly, I had just set my Flip camera down, after filming snoring dogs, seconds before clicking on your link. I love my Flip and am stunned that it will be discontinued.

I just realized how dated my alarm clock is. It plays cassette tapes. It was a high school graduation present, and I'm 36 now. If it ever dies though, I'm going for the Alba clock up there. From tapes to MP3s. Where does the time go?

nnssls, have you ever been to Texas? I gave up my central air this year and have been using just a window unit in the bedroom so I can sleep. During the afternoon, it's 90 degrees in my house. I can deal with it knowing my electric bill has gone from over $300 to $52, but wouldn't insist that anyone else live like that.

The unit I got was $200 and has a remote. It ain't pretty but it works.

One more perv here. Wondering if it was just me is the only reason I checked the comments.

Holy wow that is beautiful. The outside lies about the inside.

I have been thinking and dreaming a lot about a tiny house, but never dreamed one could be so well designed. The tiny houses I have seen so far are cute, but this is above and beyond.

Thanks for sharing it AT.

Wow, meth labs and police were a part of my week too!! In fact, was wondering if there is a serious epidemic in my community.

A few days ago, a bounty hunter came around looking for my next door neighbor. The man apparently jumped bail on charges of running a meth lab. The house is a rental, and 2 tenants ago someone there died of an overdose (heroine, I think), and the man across the street sometimes goes on a meth binge.

I live in a quaint little community. Small town, historic homes, friendly neighbors. For a while I thought that insulated me from this stuff. I'm no longer so naive.

Thanks for the security tips. I should probably take a few more precautions myself.

I would kill for windows like this, just so I could do what you have done in the picture. A white rod may look better, but you're definitely on the right track.

I have my white picket fence home, but the city won't allow me to put up a white picket fence (or any fence at all). Well, technically I can, it just has to be 25 feet back from the road, which puts it on my front porch.

They say otherwise it's a road hazard????? The city actually owns the first 25 feet from the road to the house. I told them they'd better start doing their fair share of the mowing then, but they didn't think that was funny.

TammyE - LOVE how you use it to respect your child's curiosity!!!

thekrecs, my sentiments exactly. My home is a canvas and having a space for spontaneous creation is a thrill for me. My only problem is when people write notes for me on the chalkboard, and I can't bring myself to erase them.

I don't judge people who dislike it. Don't see why some feel the need to judge me for liking it.

I have an F collection. In fact, I have one of your Rs but as an F :) Here is what I do: Sometimes they are grouped together. Sometimes they are sprinkled around the house. Sometimes they are in a box. In other words, don't feel like you have to pick a display mode and stick to it forever. Do whatever you feel like doing with them at the moment.

Don't the new bulbs have mercury in them? If one breaks, it is my understanding that you have to be careful with the clean up. You're also not supposed to just throw the bulbs away, are you?

If those are the rules, how many people do you think are going to break them? How will all that mercury affect our land? Are they really even the better option?

Who are we to judge? And why would we care if he is different than the norm. The norm isn't all that much fun.

I bet if I snooped around in your lives for a bit I could find something about you that might be a bit unusual. In fact, I bet you just thought of what that would be.

It's interesting to look at from the outside, it makes him happy, and it doesn't hurt anyone. What's the big deal?

I think it's beautiful. And to the haters, it's not like people didn't paint wood in the olden days. A friend has a milking stool that his grandpa built and his grandma and mom and now he have repainted dozens of times. It's got such great character - which some people around here seem to be in need of.

I think it would look cool, just not sure how comfortable it would be. I love to lean back and put my head on the back edge of the tub. Not sure you could do that with a horse trough. But I guess it depends on how you use your tub. I hope you get to do it, it's a great idea.

Bitdot, "that's the life" was the exact phrase that crossed my mind.

I have been considering doing a combination library/dining room for years, but always thought it was an odd combination. This has given me all sorts of inspiration. Thanks AT.

I love when people express themselves through their house. If you can't be yourself at home, where can you?

I am saying this as someone who just painted her house a purple/gray with white trim, and an orange door on the cottage/garage. It was beige - like 99% of the homes in my neighborhood. So, like the other poster said, I would probably enjoy being friends with them.
