Puella, I have the pastel version of that kitchen too. It also comes in the brighter colors now. If only I had waited... Great colors! Where is all of the artwork from? And the lamp? This room is amazing! I would love to create something like this for my daughters! Any tips on the lanterns on the walls (they don't look like decals)? How wonderful! I love this idea and may try to do it for my daughter's 3rd bday which is this weekend. Quick question: I'm very technologically challenged, so do you think this would work using any printer. We have an HP Deskjet and I'm not sure the photos would come out. Suggestions or tips? The wine rack is great! It's so nice to find a use for an otherwise empty wall. And don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan, but I'm curious about the practicality of this with a child? As the mother of a toddler, I would assume you can't put anything on the bottom 8-10 racks. And then I'd always be worried about the little one poking her eye out while running around...just a thought. It's funny that this is one of today's posts because we are going to be painting and reupholstering some new dining chairs that we bought at IKEA last weekend. It looks comfy but I agree with the above posters that it seems like it would be hard to get out of with a sleeping baby. Also, the woman in the top photo is breastfeeding a naked child. Ok, so I had to comment on this because we just (1 week ago) completed our kitchen work and we also used the Nexus Yellow-Brown cabinets. We chose Caesarstone in Eggshell for the countertops, Ann Sacks glass tile for the backsplash, and an Ann Sacks ceramic tile for the floor tile. You can see photos here: http://katiekdesign.blogspot.com/2008/04/our-new-kitchen.html I think Home Depot now has a very pretty glass tile that you could use for the backsplash. The walls and floors were the hardest decisions for me too, but now I am extremely pleased with the outcome! Good luck!
