Sealing the exposed wall/drywall from moisture damage would be my top priority what ever you do. Once the damage starts it will become a nightmare and costly. Some damage to the wood post is already evident. If you do decide just to cover it with a mirror or something, purchase and cut to size a waterproof siding and seal it to the wall. I tend to like the shelving idea just keep in mind the materials you use for the project will be exposed to high moisture. Not a big deal, just talk to your material provider about the task first. Don’t forget to post the results.

I had an office made out of a shipping container under the south west sun about 20 years ago. It had a bathroom and oddly a shower. It stayed relatively cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It was insulated and the utility bill was reasonable. I don't know how the utility bill would relate to someone who is financial depressed but, it made a nice office.

If you made this transaction with a debit/credit card you should file with the credit company FIRST and let them resolve the issue, it's your best bet. I am not familiar with with the legal EZ in your area however, with a little bit of leg work and research at the nearest legal college library you should be able to file a lien in county court against any remaining property in the store for the amount of the debt owed and legal fees. Expect a fee up to $100. You should attempt to contact the property manager by registered letter explaining your situation and desire to contact the owner of the store to resolve this issue ASAP. Good luck and I hope to here about the final resolve in about 90 days.

There are many good suggestions on this thread already and some not so helpful. Despite the live capture traps, check daily, and sealing up any access points I suggest you keep some sort of basket with a bag or cloth inside of it near by. You will most likely be able to catch it yourself.

Butane works well in a pinch, denatured alcohol works best. Just remember the well ventilated, do not use by small children or pets, no open flame disclaimer. If you need to clean a lot of glass and don't have time to mess around, this is the way to go.

It's a bit of tit for tat. To be a top designer your work will be replicated. It's been this way since the time of Athens. Today style is replicated quickly so a top designer needs to always be progressing like technology.

I like the idea of an Easter egg hunt. It takes some work but, you could seem the ends of the remnants that msdaphne recommends. I did this in a room where I new the carpet was going to get destroyed if it was not covered. When I left I simple dumped the remnant in the dumpster and left.

"verily" chances are you overcooked the egg to begin with. A medium sized hard boiled well done egg should never cook past 12 minutes. Most egg buffs cook there egg for 3 minutes for a soft egg. Try adding a shot of distilled vinegar to the pot and shock the egg quickly in a water bath than peal it. Also make sure your raw eggs are not stored to cold. If they are let them temper to room temp before cooking.

By now I think you should have learned it's not about get rid of one mouse but preventing the problem by preventing the little home invader from taking up residence to begin with. On a rare occasion a rodent may slip in through an open door or window and get stuck but, you have to seal off your residence and get rid of all the exposed food until you rid yourself of that dreaded pest. Why would the mouse risk a potential trap when food is just sitting out ready to eat? If you have infestation you have little choice but, to bring in an exterminator and fog to get inside the hollow walls of your dwelling. If you live in an apartment or condo you really need to take action as a whole. Also, look both inside and outside for nests.

It beats the "(ugly) fire extinguisher is still in its box...on a the pantry." It looks like it's large enough to actually put out a small fire. Just remember to keep a lid around to smother any small grease fires that may flare up and not to spread the fire with an extinguisher.
