I priced out poggenpohl, boffi, bulthaup b3, siematic and Henry Built - seriously when you add appliances and counter tops etc they were all about the same price - price really jumps when you go from melamine to wood p.s the B1 is less expensive than the b3 by at least 25% Experience With Bulthaup Kitchens? I was originally going to go with a Bulthaup Kitchen in my house. The B1 was just about to come out so it wasn't an option but it looked good and the price was much better than the other Bulthaup systems. However, as much as I LOVE all things Bulthaup I needed more versatility with material choices (countertops for instance) and the B1 is an even more limited palette. I ended up going with Siematic - another German kitchen company. I have a flickr account "micacookie" you can go check out the pics if you like. I just bought a full set of the Heath Coupe line in linen. Last year I bought 1 studio mug to see if it could stand up to my constantly dropping things and that mug has not failed me yet. It was not cheap but I know that I will have the set to give to my children one day :) And I think that is money well spent. What I also like about Heath is that you can buy your everyday plates in Linen and buy larger platters with a different interior glaze to mix it up later. just so you all know - these pots are fabulous - but once the batch from Eco Source is depleted they will not be getting them anymore (by them I mean the Bamboo line which is more hip and modern - they will still have the rice hull line) they had some problems with their Chinese manufacturer and will not be offering this line anymore - I have these at my store and keep telling people to get them while they can! they are soo nice and inexpensive it's shame!
