We bought an adjustable Sealy Brand memory foam mattress. I just now took the mattress cover off. What I see is the bottom has a thick foam layer, then there's a 4 inch layer of memory foam, then the last part that I actually lie on is like an egg crate foam piece (the egg crate part is upside down.)

Sleeping on this takes getting used to, but you do get used to it. Sex: If you're a woman and on top, you do sort of sink down. But it's like anything, you work around it. The sealy brand isn't like quicksand.

Sleep is really important. And the sex is too, but you just work around the memory foam.

As for the comment about the chemicals...I have chemical sensitivity and have had zero problems with this mattress.
