I for one do have food in open storage... boxed things like pasta, some jars, etc. Nothing like bags of chips and such just sitting out.

We don't have a pantry and not much cabinet space. If we kept dishes on the shelves, I know it would be a matter of time before a dish went crashing to the floor-- the shelves (painted IKEA) are next to our back door.

I do make sure the food boxes are kept neat and organized. I like it, because it's easier for me to keep up with what we have and what I need to buy.

Uh..."stressful, sweaty and stressful"?

Sorry, but the last two looks like Valentine's Day barfed all over the place.

The others have a charming retro thing about them, though.

Um. I kinda want to clean the place. But I love the kitty!

I like the addition of the kitty in the first 'after'. :) Perfect complement to any home, I say!

Haha I wondered if I was the only one who thought 'hmmm!'.

When I was single I never set the table. Hell, I barely ate at the table.

But then I got married, and wanted to establish a routine like we'd both had growing up... coming home and eating at the table. I just do place mats, the everyday plates (Fiesta) and the everyday flatware. Everyday glassware too, although the husband will usually just drink Diet Coke from the can.

Every once in a while we'll have pizza in front of the TV. We've only used the fancy china and crystal once, when we got them as wedding presents and were all excited about them. For now I have them stored in my guest room. :)
