That's so cute! I was just thinking about this kind of idea the other day...we were going through boxes of clothes that my 2 girls (4 and 2) have outgrown and I wanted to save some of my favorite outfits for a memory quilt of some kind (so I can save and remember their cutest outfits).

There were a few things we loved but a lot of very cute outfits that, in the end, we couldn't remember if they were "special" or not. It'd be neat to tag clothes as you put them away with a special note or memory of them. After a few years the memories fade away.

(though, reality check, if I couldn't find time to properly pack the clothes away in the first place, I probably wouldn't take time to label them...labels as a gift for new moms?...what do you think?)

Funny...we were just on holidays in Penticton BC, and went to the Summerland Sweets (Jam, syrup etc) "Factory Tour" (advertised on their website). They showed us to a room, popped in a DVD about their AMAZING quick cooling process (etc) and offered free samples. SO not what I was hoping for. But a funny story. Jelly Belly factory sounds cool.

We have a double! Bought when my first daughter was 4 mo and still use it. It's the most money I spent on a kid item (stroller and jogging kit) but the most useful item too. Now both my girls use it (age 4 and 2.5). Very helpful to have the screen...bugs can't get in and toys can't get thrown out. Love it! =)

I've been doing yoga at home off and on since a running injury in the fall. My biggest benefit is being able to do it without finding childcare since my two girls just play nearby. It's not always perfect, but it's cheap (we're on one income right now) and I love that my kids are interested. We've tried some kid yoga DVD's and they love it. I know it's not as good as having an instructor, but it works for me right now. I like the Namaste videos, and the Jillian Michaels fitness yoga. For my kids, Yoga Pizza Party. thanks for the interesting post!

I love her too..her sewing pocket tutorials and the recent wrap skirts (that turn into fairy/butterfly wings!) are awesome!

My mom makes birthday cakes from this (or a similar) book every year for my girls...daisy, butterfly, hot air balloon...the coconut's not my favorite, but works well for covering big areas with colour. My girls love! =)

Sorry, no storage advice, but good luck keeping them out of reach of the sister! My 2 year old got a hold of my hearing aids last week while I was in the shower (left them on the counter) and threw one down the stopper-less sink...many lessons learned and Thank God by some miracle (and quick plumbing work) it survived the dunk unscathed.

I recently made the Shaved Asparagus Pizza from Smitten Kitchen. Super delicious! (though I did sub my own pizza dough recipe the second time...liked it better than the recipe given)

I love this stuff! Cleans better than any of my other dishes...things you'd think need a ton of soaking don't. Confused about the 10 yr guarantee though...I only see 3 mentioned on their site. And pretty specific guidelines for the guarantee...no sauce or liquid when cooking meat? Really? I often cook meat with sauce or something. That said, after 7.5 years of frequent use, only one of my dishes has a cracked...probably due to banging it into the cupboard. I'd buy these again in a heartbeat.

Dry erase crayons are very different from regular! My daughter managed to colour her entire face with a black dry erase crayon so thoroughly that it looked like it was permanent marker. No way a regular crayon makes marks like that! =)
(haven't tried either crayon in an actual dry erase situation. Sounds good if used as intended!)

I just made the vietnamese coffee jello last night...I really liked it. Had trouble mixing in the sweetened condensed milk though. I might try it again warming the coffee and milk together, so it melts better, before adding to the gelatin. Great flavour!

Chariot is a popular brand of bike carrier around where we live... http://www.chariotcarriers.com/
It also has a jogging stroller attachment and others. We love ours...wasn't super cheap, but has been one of the best things we spent money on for our kids.

Thanks for the suggestions...I've actually answered my own question though, in the time since I sent it in!
A friend had this:
http://www.americaninnovative.com/products/oktowake.php
...and I couldn't run out and buy it fast enough. So far, my daughter DID manage to figure out how to open the back and reset the time, so I've decided to put it out of reach on her dresser. And it didn't stop her from making noise and calling out early this morning (our first night using it). Hoping it works eventually. I do also like that it can be used as a regular alarm clock down the road.
Thanks!
