I've been hanging around here today. I am over-posting, but what the heck.... I accept your apology, and am impressed with you for that. It doesn't affect me if you don't like Voyager's taste. Thank goodness we don't all see things the same way. I'm sure your taste is impecable. Knowing Voyager, I am sure she accepts your apology too. So we all agree to disagree. Personally I'm confused. All these accusations about cheating and morality, and poor taste.... Please remember that Voyagers' photo's were chosen after being screened by the contest committee. Not everyone who submitted photo's were chosen. That alone gives Voyager merit. And I would think the object of the comments would be for CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, not bashing. To colormyworld: I love that you are stalking Edina Monsoon. Run her out of Dodge! I hope you make her feel as uncomfortable as she has made others, although I doubt you can. It's hard to teach a sociopath a lesson. Another person you should set straight is Djluckyonline. Well, I don't think you can set him straight, but at least put him in his place. He truly believes he's royalty. As we all know, royalty does business with stoic grace; which proves he is obviously in training. No grace about that cow. Ok, that was mean. There never was and never will be anything wrong with the '90's. And I'm not implying your rooms look dated. My point is, you have made some important investments in nice pieces that will last through time. Don't fall into the "trend hungry" trap when it comes to the "big stuff". Sure you can use "the wall color of the decade" to make things look all trendy, but that's very temporary. Your most important investments must last for decades. To finish my comments... Personally I think your dining room, bedroom and hallway are "finished". They are very sophisticated and crisp. I love the mix of contemporary with "not so contemporary". You have nerve plus a real sense of balance and line with both color and placement. Keep working on that living room. It will come together. The direction is great. And I can tell by your taste, you will finish it with confidence. What's the hurry anyway? Continue to shop and add color and appointments as you find them. You probably have to take your time in Kansas anyway. Although I have heard some wonderful things about Kansas.
