Thanks for the comments Whitespike! Funny everyone keeps mentioning "90s"...seems that could be because that's about the time when I bought the sofa & chair (which, by the way, is the most comfortable thing!).

I was drawn to the pillow fabric immediately (back in the 90's), and yeah, I have to agree that re-doing the pillows could make a world of difference. The big stuff has to stay for now...can't afford to go buy anything.

As for the bright artwork, it's what I love most about my home.

Wasn't the idea to send a link to friends & ask them to vote? Seems that was the message from AT when I was told my photos would be shown. This would explain why there were several people who registered on the day that my photos appeared.

DJLuckyonline - no need to be rude...(and do your research to determine who "scottpiers" is. Ever heard of Google.com?)

Edina Monsoon - I seriously doubt that I will win anything, as the contest is voted on by the readers, and if you have been looking at the other "Insta-finalist" entries, I don't have a chance in HE**.

Seems that those who will likely win are those who don't NEED the CB2 gift card, because their homes are already lovely.

Anne- I know, my living room is still very much a work in progress. Limited resources here in Kansas City...BUT CB2 could fix all that!

Hi everyone! Thanks for all of your comments, I have enjoyed reading them! With all the amazing homes out there, I am pretty surprised that my photos made it to the screen!

To answer a couple of the questions you've asked...

Janella13 - The bedroom is probably the least finished room...WAY too many blank walls yet to be filled!

EeBee - hope your photos are featured! Kansans sticking together!

Johnp - the big obstacle in painting for me is that there is no place to stop! Soft corners & 10 ft ceilings are a major challenge, but maybe someday....(plus I have a devil of a time making decisions!) I entered this contest because what you don't see in my photos is my currently empty finished basement, and it's SCREAMING for a CB2 makeover =)

Suzygirl - the dining room table is made by Elite Mfg.

mmadden - I am always on the hunt for great artwork. Any suggestions?
