I'm not sure if we're allowed to mention product names, but the milk paint used was this: http://www.fwhorch.net/milk-paint-1.html & the poly-finish was this: http://www.fwhorch.net/osmo-polyx-oil.html (I stand corrected; it's not completely non-toxic; the site bills it as low-toxic). Thus far, they've held up well & had nearly zero odor when applied.
