We have been sharing our room with our children since the oldest was born, 4 years ago. First, the baby slept in our bed, and when he grew up, around 18months, we bougt a crib.
We put the mattress level of the crib at the same level of our mattress, and we took out one of the sides. It was like we had an extension of our bed. He has been sleeping there until last week, that he decided to "move" to his room. Our little, 2 years already, has been sleeping between us all this time, and now, that his brother has "emptied" the crib, is occuping the "vacancy".
We did not want to "move" the oldest during the end of the pregnancy, it didn't look good for him, and, at the end it took longer, but we try to respect everyone's growing.
