335ktt - most of the doors in the house are painted chocolate brown, which we like and we'll keep. we have plans to paint all the trim in all the rooms white, then change out the wall colors as we like! ace - the green locker is "vintage" ikea, though they might still have this piece in white or black. thanks for the comments and well wishes! as we've just moved in, i really can't take credit for any of the wall colors! i'm pretty sure the previous tenant's favorite color is blue - it's in just about every room. we'd love to be able to move the bed under the skylight at night to see the stars and thunderstorms. i plan to modify the bed and add wheels. it actually won't fit on the other wall all the time because of the door that swings into the room - the photo is deceiving. the sparse aesthetic is also deceiving - we just haven't unpacked all the artwork and knick-knacks yet. although we're finding we like the sparseness in our house since our workspaces are so jam packed with stuff!
